On the day of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, our hearts are filled with boundless gratitude and bright memory of those who defended peace at the cost of incredible courage.
May 9th is not just a date. It is a symbol of indomitable will, unity of peoples and an immortal feat that is forever inscribed in the history of mankind. We bow our heads to those who fought on the fronts, who forged victory in the rear, who stood up in besieged Leningrad and went through the hell of concentration camps.
Special words for female heroes. You who raised the country from the ruins, raised children under the whistling of shells, rescued the wounded and worked for days at the machines. Your steadfastness, love and faith have become a pillar in the darkest days.
