The Organizing Committee is delighted to announce an important development: The VII International Photo Contest “Mother and Children in National Costumes” has officially received informational support from the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs of Russia (FADN of Russia)!
The letter of support has been signed personally by the Head of the Agency — Igor Vyacheslavovich Barinov. For our team, this is not only a great honor but also significant recognition of the Contest’s importance in preserving cultural heritage, strengthening family values, and harmonizing interethnic relations.
2026 — The Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia
It is worth recalling that 2026 has been declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. Our Contest, dedicated in its very essence to the beauty of cultural diversity and family values, serves as a direct embodiment of its goals and objectives.
In multinational Russia, where hundreds of ethnic groups live in harmony, such projects acquire special significance. They allow us, through the art of photography, music, and dance, to see how the traditions of one family become the heritage and pride of the entire country, and how the threads of different cultures intertwine into a single, strong fabric of national unity.

We continue the tradition of uniting hearts through the language of national costume, music, and dance.
The official start for accepting applications in all categories is March 1, 2026!
The Three Main Categories of the Contest
In its 7th season, the Contest retains its beloved structure and invites creativity in three main categories:

Preparation for the New Season
Currently, the Organizing Committee is actively working on the Contest Regulations for the 7th season. We aim to make it even more convenient and interesting for participants, while maintaining high evaluation standards and transparent contest procedures.
The support from FADN of Russia opens new opportunities for the project’s development and expands the geography of its participants. We are grateful for this trust and are ready to continue our work in the name of preserving cultural diversity and traditional values.
