On September 14-15, 2024, as part of the “Practice-oriented seminar of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland of the Voronezh Region, taking into account the experience of the Central Federal District”, a photo exhibition “Mother and Children in national costumes” was presented in the foyer of the Voronezh Concert Hall. 12 photographs showing women with children – employees of the nuclear industry and the wives of the participants of the SVO. The photo project was attended by six employees of the station with children and six families of ITS participants, members of the regional Committee of families of soldiers of the Fatherland. The surroundings of Novovoronezh became the filming site.
The organizer was the “International Women’s Union” together with the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland. The project partner is Novovoronezh NPP, a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC.
Alfiya Amirova, President of the International Women’s Union, personally came to Voronezh at the invitation of the NSWRL to present the project: “More than two thousand applications have already been submitted for the competition from all over Russia, CIS countries, France, Mongolia, and African countries. The results of the competition will be announced on November 14 in Moscow at the forum “Women of the third Millennium”. 200 participants will enter the final and only 50 will be the winners. It is gratifying that Voronezh has an initiative aimed at helping to preserve the national identity of the peoples of Russia and friendly foreign countries in the conditions of the increasing pace of globalization of society”
The exhibition was opened by Amirova Alfiya, President of the International Women’s Union, and Margarita Maslennikova, Head of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland.
The exhibition will continue its work during September in the gallery of TD Axiom (Voronezh, Pushkinskaya str., 8), and from October 1 it will be presented in the city of atomshchikov – Novovoronezh.

The international photo contest “Mother and Children in national costumes” has been in existence since 2019. In 2022, the project entered the year of cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia. The photo contest was presented in digital format at the SPIEF in June 2023. The 5th anniversary photo contest is being held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO with the support of the Federal Agency for Nationalities of Russia and the Moscow City Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Geographical Society”. The head of the International Photo Contest is Alfiya Ravilyevna Amirova, President of the International Women’s Union.
Alfiya Amirova also spoke at the Plenary Session of the Voronezh Region CSR Forum. Alexey Girichev, Deputy Chairman of the regional government, opened the plenary session of the forum on behalf of Governor Alexander Gusev, and Maria Butina, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Netesov, Chairman of the Regional Duma, and Maya Mandrykina, Minister of Labor and Employment, addressed the participants.
Margarita Maslennikova addressed the participants of the conference, telling about the work done by the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland of the Voronezh region, what work is being carried out and still needs to be done. The heads of the regional branches of the CFO Central Federal District, relatives of the participants of the CFO, volunteer associations of the Voronezh Region shared their practices and experiences.
